Abstrakt: This text aims to show how the visual artist Jiří David’s engagement is manifested in the texts in which he expresses himself on public affairs, and how he himself reflects it in his thoughts on art and artistic output. The essay also introduces David as a poet and considers the relationship of his poetry to his other work.
