Abstrakt: The palace library of Count Karl Joseph von Palm-Gundelfingen (1698-1770) in Regensburg was among the largest private libraries in Germany. This renowned library, whose foundation was the collection of the jurist Eucharius Gottlieb Rink (1670-1745) from Altdorf near Nuremberg, was dispersed through auctions between 1812 and 1820. The study seeks to map the virtually unknown Palm collection of medieval manuscripts, present the identified books, and trace their subsequent history. An excerpt from the auction catalogues recorded 44 codices; 13 manuscripts dating from the 9th to the early 16th century have been located today in nine European and American libraries.
