Abstract: The paper presents two coins discovered at the abandoned castle of Janůvka in the territory of Trnava u Zlína (Zlín District). The first coin is a parvus of Wenceslas II. The second, largely corroded coin was identified as a forgery of the Prague groschen of Wenceslas IV. According to RFA (X-ray fluorescence) surface analysis of the second coin, it likely has a copper core that may originally have been silver-plated. However, due to the coin’s current condition, definitive conclusions regarding the exact method of surface plating cannot be made.
