Abstrakt: Hoards of Roman coins composed of denarii were once rare in the territory of the Czech Republic. Over the past ten years, however, this picture has changed: one previously unpublished assemblage is presented in this paper. The hoard consists of five denarii with dates ranging from the reign of Nerva to Antoninus Pius. The date of deposition is based on the date of the lates denarius, minted in the years AD 152–153. The most likely period for the burial of the coins is the second half of the 2nd century, although a date in the 3rd-century or even later cannot be ruled out. It is not possible to determine whether we are dealing with a deposition of personal savings or a hoard of votive character.
