Abstract: In 2022, the authors of the article documented an interesting coin hoard from the second half of the 13th century. In addition to common Austrian pfennigs of Přemysl II Ottokar, the hoard also contained one of his Bohemian deniers and a Moravian denier of the pfennig type, which are considered rare coins in the Kingdom of Hungary. The hoard was hidden sometime between 1276 and 1282 and was discovered near the medieval castle of Michalov vrch. It cannot be ruled out that the find is directly connected to the castle. Additional evidence of intensive occupation from the Middle Ages has been documented nearby, and local roads also passed through the area.
