Abstrakt: The report of the interrogation of the arrested religious visionary Mikuláš Vlásenický at Choustník Castle in 1471 is known from two Czech copies dated around the mid 16th century. It was published in print around the 1540s, but only one incomplete copy has survived (Library of the National Museum in Prague, signature 27 F 27 Adl. 4.). The entry in the manuscript collection of Martin Bydžovský of Florentino on King Maximilian II (National Archives Prague, fund of the Vyšehrad Chapter, Book 358) for 1576 is a copy of another, nowadays no more existing, edition. According to the report, which unambiguously favours Vlásenický, it was a religious disputation rather than an interrogation, the main subject of which was communion under one or both kinds. Vlásenický allegedly defeated the Catholic priests and was acquitted. Around 1558, the Lutheran clergyman Martin Peonius translated the report from Czech into German. He omitted several passages, but instead expanded the text significantly and intensified the attacks against the Catholics and the Pope. His translation was published in at least 16 editions between 1558 and 1610. It is one of the oldest translations from Czech into German.
