Abstrakt: The aim of this study is to present the forthcoming edition of a „rediscovered“ work by Bohuslav Balbín (1621–1688) from 1687, in which he described in treatise form the history of the Martinic family from their fictional ancestors (1190) to his contemporaries (1687). The work was a celebration of the Martinic family, which was one of the most important in the Kingdom of Bohemia in the 17th century, presenting readers with evidence of the family‘s fame, nobility, and aristocracy. The document included a family tree of the Lords of Martinic compiled by Balbín, which is also the subject of this edition. The document has not been preserved in its original Latin manuscript, but in a later German translation from the end of the 18th century. The family tree has been preserved in a contemporary copy. The document and the family tree were to be published with other descriptions and family trees of noble families in the second series of Balbín‘s Miscellanea historica Regni Bohemiae. However, due to Balbín‘s death, they were never published.
