The Czech Historical Review
Český časopis historický/The Czech Historical Review is a peer-reviewed academic journal published by the Institute of History of the CAS. Since its inception in 1895, it has been the journal of record for the historical profession in Czech lands. The journal invites papers presenting original research from all major areas of historical science. While it publishes mainly on Czech and Central European history, its scope is also open to other world regions. The journal serves as a forum for interdisciplinary topics and theoretical and methodological reflection. It devotes a considerable amount of space to an overview of the latest scholarly production in the form of book reviews and reports. It brings together different approaches and opinions from a diverse range of historians from various generations.
Český časopis historický/The Czech Historical Review is an open access journal and its content is available free of charge. It is published four times a year in print and on-line.
The journal is indexed in the Scopus, DOAJ, ERIH PLUS, Recensio, EBSCO and Sherpa Romeo international databases. The content of the issues can be accessed via the on-line platform H-Soz-u-Kult, with abstracts of papers available in the CEJSH database.
